EVENT DESCRIPTION
Come join the SNAME Southeast Section's September meeting on September 13th at Sunset Harbour Yacht Club (SHYC) to learn about and visit the newly launched hybrid-electric yacht "Sobe Sunset"! The meeting will begin at the facility clubhouse for a presentation on the conception and execution of this ambitious and innovative vessel (refreshments to be provided). We will then continue to the vessel for a tour and hands-on demonstrations, including solar collectors, central system control with embedded "Computational Intelligence", variable flow chilled water HVAC, and a host of additional systems not seen on typical marine vessels. This is a unique opportunity to see hybrid-electric technology, so we hope to see you there!The marina is located at 1928 Sunset Harbour Dr (frequently called Purdy Ave.), Miami Beach, FL 33139.
