Dry Dock Optional - Propulsion system installation Afloat
Subsea Global Solutions (SGS) will host the SNAME Southeast Section at their facility in Miami. Their expert staff will present on an intriguing recent project - significant repairs to a vessel propulsion system following a grounding event, including installation of replacement parts, all while the vessel was afloat! The project took place during a period when dry docking options were not locally available and other locations were not economically viable. The SGS team will share their insights and key learnings from this impressive undertaking.

SPEAKERS/PRESENTERS
Rick Shilling and Kelley Williamson, Subsea Global Solutions LLC
Rick Shilling entered the commercial diving industry in 2006 by connection of his independent business management company, PropEL Marine to the member companies that now form Subsea Global Solutions. With over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry, Rick possesses practical knowledge of the marine services and industrial power industries. Prior to the formation of PropEL Marine, Rick held senior-level positions with NRG Energy and Wartsila North America. Having originally studied Marine Engineering Systems at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Rick is now focused on the implementation, enhancement, and growth of the Subsea Global Solutions specialist technical services, including the in-house developed industry leading environmentally friendly biofouling solutions.
