I agree with Mr. Halpern. A PE license is a lofty goal for many and as it stands, is hard earned. For a senior graduating from high school and considering the engineering career path, (4) years of undergraduate study, (2) years of post graduate and then 6 - 10 years of specialized employment is unnecessary. If the goal is to make the PE license something attainable by only professional students or for those with unlimited funding, then go right ahead. In the meantime, I'll consider a masters in business where the compensation and opportunities for advancement are far greater.
