I just stumbled across this and figured i'd jump in (albeit a year or two later ;-) ).
A blog is simply an unsolicitied opinion - an article if you will.
A eGroup is a discussion gropu - somewhere to ask a question or post an answer.
Technically this blog would have been better placed as an egroup posting but there is often overlap and nothing is set in stone. Hope that helps.
