PE licensure

By Howard Apollonio posted 08-02-2010 07:11 PM

I am absolutely opposed to requiring a Master's degree or equivalent for PE licensure.
That would be an undue burden on qualified individuals and on many industries like ours.  Most small firms would be sorely handicapped by such a requirement when it comes to recruiting or qualifying staff in order to function where a staff PE is required.
Most PE's that I know in our field have only a Bachelor's or equivalent, and are fully competant.  Our profession has done a good job of preparing candidates for licensure, and in supporting them thereafter.
