The SSC is very proud to showcase its new microsite which is up to date with student documents including the by-laws, SSS guide, leadership contacts, and a streaming blog update.
This is a reminder to all student sections/members to make use of the SSC microsite as a resource for updates on current events and action items that the SSC has taken on, as well as updates from myself, Nathan Hagan, on electronic media resources. It has been our goal to increase communication within the Student Steering Committee to include all student section chairs as well as the five SSC officers. We are very excited by the progress we have made through increased teleconference attendance as well as electronic resources available to everyone.
The Electronic Media Committee has set the goal for all student section microsites to be completed and operational by this year's annual meeting to be held in Washington. If any student section needs assistance with their microsite, or egroup memberships, please contact myself, NATHAN HAGAN, at nhagan12@webb-institute.edu or through your SNAME profile. I am here to help, and will do everything to ensure your questions become answered.
We are aware that each section needs to feel a sense of ownership for their personal microsite in order to best make use of the system, and each section has its own needs from these sites. We are interested in embracing these differences so that each site can best represent the section in question and fulfill the unique challenges facing each section. If you have an idea, and need help, we will make it happen.
Yet again, we are excited to work with each and every one of you to complete the microsite project, and will be contacting each section within the next few weeks to continue communication on microsite construction.
