Erik Seither '76 has been selected as the recipient of the
2010 RADM Lauren S. McCready Award that is presented to the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) Kings Pointer of the Year. This award is presented annually to Kings Point alumni who have made significant technical achievements to the marine industry or who have contributed to making such achievements possible. Seither has a long and distinguished career as a senior ship's officer, senior management positions in ship management, and commercial support of ship-owners. In June of this year he was named Executive Director of SNAME after eight years with Det Norske Veritas in senior maritime marketing management positions in North and South America. The award will be presented at the Puget Sound Alumni Chapter's Fall Dinner Event on Friday, November 5th at the Maggianos Restaurant in Bellevue, WA.
