We have exciting news to share for the SNAME Maritime Convention (SMC) this September - we're going virtual!
The health and safety of our attendees and exhibitors is our top priority, so as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact health, travel and the ability to hold large gatherings, we recognize many of you may not be comfortable travelling or be able to travel due to company restrictions.
However, our community still wants and needs to connect with each other, learn about the latest industry updates, and grow our careers and organizations.
Pivoting to a virtual event allows our entire global community the opportunity to join and contribute to the event - including those who are not often able to participate in-person. It also provides attendees the unique ability to attend each and every session - either live or on-demand - a brand new benefit for SMC 2020!
The SMC-Virtual team is working hard to help you connect in engaging ways throughout the event, and there are new technologies available to help both attendees and exhibitors connect personally with one another.
Plus, we'll be presenting the incredible SMC technical program to which you are already accustomed. Be ready to learn about topics pertaining to:

We'll be sharing more SMC-Virtual program details, and registration will open in the coming weeks. For now, make sure you keep the dates saved! To make this as seamless as possible, SMC-Virtual will be held during the same week the in-person SMC was scheduled: 29 September - 1 October 2020.
