Introduction to Orca3D Naval Architecture plugin for Rhino - VIRTUAL EVENT

When:  May 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM (NT)
Associated with  Canadian Atlantic Section

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Join us for a one-hour presentation on the Orca3D naval architecture plugin for Rhino, including Orca3D Marine CFD. Orca3D includes features for hull design and fairing, basic hydrostatics and stability, parametric resistance prediction, weight and cost tracking, and the newest addition, Advanced Stability. With Advanced Stability, a complete compartmentation model can be quickly created in Rhino/Orca3D, including tanks and both watertight and non-watertight compartments. Intact and damaged stability can be computed for any number of load cases, including the effects of free surface in the tanks. Other features include stability criteria evaluation, tonnage calculations, tank tables, area/volume reports, and floodable lengths. In addition, we’ll cover Orca3D Marine CFD, which brings accurate, reliable, and easy-to-use computational fluid dynamics to the naval architect’s desktop, without the need to be a CFD specialist.

You may download a Rhino trial from www.rhino3d.com and an Orca3D trial from www.orca3d.com
