Join us for the second session of the Icons of the Maritime series, featuring Erkan Eker, General Manager at API Marine ApS and Eker Engineering. This session will follow an interactive Q&A format, exploring his professional journey from shipyard operations to executive leadership, along with key insights on project management, leadership, and the evolving landscape of the shipbuilding industry. The event will conclude with an open Q&A session where participants will have the opportunity to ask their own questions. (At the end of the event, one SNAME membership will be given away by raffle.)
SPEAKER/PRESENTER
Erkan EKER
Erkan Eker is a naval architect with extensive experience in shipbuilding, covering production, quality management, and project execution in major Turkish shipyards. He previously held key roles at Sedef Shipbuilding, including Production Manager and Quality Manager, where he was actively involved in managing large scale commercial vessel projects.
He currently serves as General Manager at API Marine ApS (Denmark) and Eker Gemi Makina Tasarım Mühendislik Danışmanlık Ltd., focusing on engineering consultancy, ship design, and project management services for the maritime industry.
His career combines hands-on shipyard experience with international engineering consultancy, with a strong emphasis on project management, quality systems, and efficient execution in complex shipbuilding processes.
