Abstract
Kaitlyn and Stephanie won the video competition “How the Ocean Affects Climate Change “in grade eight that was part of an outreach program with the Marine Institute. Their prize was the mini-boat pre-built by Marine Institute. Since then, the boat had been launched off the Grand Banks in November 2018 and recovered 102 days later at Achill Island, Ireland in February 2019. They have gathered a Raven KASTER team both in Conception Bay South, NL, and Ireland, raised funds to complete the refit and upgrade of the mini-boat, travelled Ireland to meet our Irish team, and learned a lot long the way!
