The 3rd
International Congress of Design and Engineering Fair Colombiamar Naval
and 2013, make up a space created to promote the development of the
shipping industry, maritime and river, from scenarios of academic,
scientific, technological and commercial, for the industry and its
companies to share experiences and knowledge in innovation with its own
technological advances and developments in the sector, and in turn
creating and strengthening of international trade links.
The
Corporation for Science and Technology for Development of the Naval,
Maritime and River - Cotecmar, since 2005 has been organizing academic
events that allow to inform the wider community the results of their
research projects and activities science, technology and innovation.
This dynamic gains strength through the years and it consolidates in
2009 the First International Congress of Design and Engineering Fair
Colombiamar Naval and as major events nationwide charged with
disseminating and create opportunities for interaction between different
actors shipbuilding, maritime and river.
In 2011, the Second International Congress of Naval Engineering Design
and consisted of three keynote, twenty scientific papers, sixteen
technical papers and two forums, is featured attendees from Germany,
Brazil, Ecuador, USA, Spain, Panama and Paraguay. The lectures were given by Dr. Apostolos Papanikolaou guests, Dr. Andres Cura and Dr. Jonathan Ross.
The CIDIN achieved in this second opportunity to position itself as the
first event of this specialty nationally and internationally as a
leading popular science events related to the shipping industry,
maritime and river, comparing with COPINAVAL organized by the
Pan-American Institute of Naval Engineering - IPIN.
The third event
After the success and impact achieved through the implementation of the
Second International Congress of Design and Engineering Fair
Colombiamar Naval and 2011, Cotecmar recognizes that this space covers
one of the strategic initiatives where it is popular science as the main
tool to promote the exchange of knowledge resulting from research
projects, technological development and innovation of its research
programs.
In addition, the wide acceptance by the academic and business community
has positioned us as a coordinator for generating business
opportunities between major companies naval, maritime, river and
international port.
This drives Cotecmar to further promote and develop more strongly these
two activities in its institutional context and are a being important
for the development and strengthening of this important sector.
