Great Lakes/Great Rivers Winter Meeting

The Great Lakes / Great Rivers Annual Winter Meeting will provide discussions on industry topics and a networking opportunity for attendees.

Speakers:

  • Eric Renz, PE, Project Development Engineer at HDR Engineering Inc, will present on research methods used to model and simulate performance of a diesel electric propulsion/vessel system that is subject to typical loads encountered in ice service.
  • Jan Glas - Sales Director Automation & Digital Products at SCHOTTEL GmbH - will present on Remote Service/Condition Monitoring of SCHOTTEL Automation Systems
  • Stephen Burnett - Executive Director, Great Lakes Cruising Coalition, Kingston Ontario – will present on the Mission of the Great Lakes Cruising Coalition, the state of the Great Lakes cruising industry, and the industry’s outlook going forward.
  • Mollie Mahoney – USACE Project Manager, New Soo Lock Project, will provide an update on status and schedule of the New Soo Lock Construction project in Sault Ste Marie, MI.
  • Carrie Sowden – Archaeological Director at the National Museum of the Great Lakes – will present on “History of Passenger Travel on the Great Lakes”, a thorough history of travel on the Great Lakes, either for immigration or enjoyment, from the 19th century schooners to the lavish steamboats of the early 20th century.
