SPEAKERS/PRESENTERS
Cathy Zhang
Cathy Zhang began her career at Glosten in 2021 as a naval architect. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan. At Glosten, Cathy has been part of the team that continually provides technical support for Adventuress.
Brent Morrison
Brent Morrison is a Senior Associate at Herbert Engineering. Before that, he spent four years as an independent engineer and eight years at Glosten, where he worked on Adventuress. He has a degree in engineering from Webb Institute and a degree in art history from Dartmouth College.
Mark Donahue, PE
Mark Donahue is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy in 1972 and the University of Michigan in 1975. He retired in 2013 as chief engineer and general manager at Marine Industries NW, in Tacoma. He has been a volunteer with Sound Experience for 13 years, board member and ship committee chairman during the Adventuress deck restoration as well as a member of SNAME for over 50 years.
Paul Erb
Paul Erb is a semi-retired naval architect now living on Bainbridge Island near Seattle. He graduated from MIT in 1977 with a Master's in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. His career focus was on deepwater oil and gas production platforms. Paul has volunteered and supported both Sound Experience and Adventuress since moving to the Pacific NW in 2019. He was a member of the Topmast technical team, and he is currently on the Adventuress Ship Committee.
