EVENT DESCRIPTION
Tidewater has been operating on the Columbia-Snake River system for more than 90 years and is one of the largest transportation networks in the Pacific Northwest. This presentation will provide an inside look at how Tidewater moves refined liquid products, grain, fertilizer, and other critical commodities through an integrated network of barges, terminals, pipelines, and marine assets. We will discuss the scale of cargo moving through the river system, the vessels and infrastructure required to support it, and the significant role inland marine transportation plays in regional industry, agriculture, energy supply, and international trade. The presentation will also highlight the operational and engineering challenges involved in keeping this system running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
