Military Sealift Command Company Visit (11/10/2015)
The Military Sealift Command will be coming to present and talk to us about the organization and give us a rundown of what they do and the career opportunities for Naval Architects.



Kayaking (9/2015)
The Mentorship Program went kayaking and canoeing on the Huron River! Fun times were had by all, and no one fell in or capsized, which is considered a win.

From A to Z: Up the Marine Industry Ladder (9/17/2015)
We are starting out the term with a panel, "From A to Z: Up the Marine Industry Ladder," discussing the many facets of the Marine Industry with four of our esteemed alumni who are now recognized as some of the top leaders in our industry! The panel includes: 

Mitch Koslow, VP Engineering at Keystone Shipping Co.
Rick Spaulding, VP Central Planning at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
Joe Comer, SNAME President and President of Ship Architects, Inc.
Bruce Rosenblatt, President of Bruce S. Rosenblatt & Associates.



THOR Solutions (9/18/2015)
THOR Solutions will be discussing structural enhancement on the National Security Cutter for the Coast Guard and other design challenges.



USS Detroit LCS-7 Launch at Marinette Marine (2014)
In 2014, Quarterdeck was invited to tour Marinette Marine in Wisconsin and watch the launching of the USS Detroit LCS-7. They drove to Wisconsin, were given a tour of the yard, and watched a ship launching.

Sikuliaq Launch at Marinette Marine (2012)
In 2012, Quarterdeck was invited to the launch of the research vessel Sikuliaq at Marinette Marine in Wisconsin. In addition, they rode across Lake Michigan in the last coal-operated ship on the Great Lakes.
