EVENT DESCRIPTION
This will present the Wärtsilä Online a digital platform which is designed to optimise the operations of machinery and systems onboard ships and other assets. The Wärtsilä Online system facilitates easy accessing product and service-specific information and documentation, procurement of spare parts, tracking of deliveries, planning, and overseeing of service and maintenance activities and much more, via a secure and reliable platform for collaborating with Wärtsilä quickly, directly and transparently. The presentation will outline and discuss the philosophy and implementation of Wärtsilä Online across various devices and discuss and demonstrate how such digital systems can optimise operations and hence enhance both efficiency and productivity through with 24/7 access to real-time information.

Andrew Laidlaw Sales Manager for Marine Power, Wärtsilä UK and Ireland
Andrew served in the Royal Marines and Royal Navy for 20 years from 1993 to 2013, being deployed to Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Iraqi and Afghanistan, and was awarded a citation for his last tour of duty, Herrik 14, in 2011. He worked for Lloyds Register for seven years from 2013 to 2020 being responsible for petrophysics and geoscience software sales in Europe, Africa and the United States. From 2020 to 2024 he worked for Shipnet Software Solutions responsible for global sales in commercial and technical fleet management. Andrew is now Sales Manager for Marine Power with Wärtsilä UK and Ireland.
