How Floating Offshore Wind is Challenging the Offshore Industry. Why O & G Can Provide Answers

Description

Please note - Registration will close on Monday, March 8, 2021.  A link to join the webinar will be emailed to you on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

This presentation will look at what these challenges are, how they can be overcome and why the accumulated experience of the O&G sector could provide the major boost that floating offshore wind needs.

The development of WTG support structures for floating offshore wind farms is allowing the industry to move into deeper waters than traditional fixed bottom wind farms. However, this evolution of the industry is adding new challenges with regards to availability of suitable ports for the assembly and transportation to site of WTG’s and their support structures.
