He worked in the fields of: resistance and propulsion; preliminary hull and propeller design; full-scale trials; and, submarine stability and control. Bob was lucky enough to have had an excellent mentor that entrusted with the model data for the United States in the early 1970s. He has been the Secretary of the SNAME Marine Forensics Committee and Chairman of the Historic Merchant Shipwreck Panel since 2014.
