EC-13, Emergent Environmental Technologies: Panel EC-13 has been established to look at the use of emergent environmental technologies in maritime applications. Currently researching the use of magnetic nanocomposites for treating bilge water. Findings from the research were presented at the Environmental Chemistry Conference in Guangzhou, China. The conference was the first week of November, 2015.
EC-7, Environmental Management: The Max1 final report was issued in November. The study looked at the effectiveness of both oil water separators and oily waste management. The six month endeavor involved the compilation of input from industry and conference to discuss issues regarding the same.
