  • Ship Production Committee Update-September 2015 TNT

During the period 10/1/2014 – 9/22/2015, the NSRP Panels submitted 33 white papers in response to the Panel Project Solicitation. The NSRP Executive Control Board will convene on September 29-30, 2015 to hear white paper presentations from Panel Chairs, along with six presentations from ad hoc working groups, and select a portfolio for award. Through regular meetings and extensive interaction with the entire shipbuilding enterprise, the panels continue to play a significant role in the National Shipbuilding Research Program. They act as a technical resource to the program and serve as the primary public forum for industry-wide networking and technology transfer. The NSRP 2015 All-Panel Meeting was held at the Charleston Marriott in Charleston, SC March 10-12, 2015. This meeting was attended by over 300 individuals, included an industry expo, and presented topics from both NSRP and ManTech. The second NSRP Project Demos & Displays will take place during the Opening Reception (November 4) of the World Maritime Technology Conference (WMTC) in the Expo Hall. Fifteen project teams will be displaying and discussing the tools and technologies they have been developing under NSRP. Thirty-one technical papers were submitted to the Ship Production Symposium, and 29 will be presenting (two were withdrawn by the author). NSRP Panel Chairs, acting in their role as members of the SNAME T&R Ship Production Committee, reviewed papers/presentations and provided any necessary feedback to the authors. Panel Chairs will also be serving as moderators during the SPS Technical Sessions. 1) Ship Production Committee Panel Reviews Each Ship Production Panel has a web page on the NSRP website which lists: a.
