Welcome to the CMA-SNAME Microsite!

Message from the Chair:

Welcome to the California Maritime Academy Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers micro-site!

We, along with our sister Student Section at UC Berkeley, belong to the Northern California Section of SNAME, the regional section for the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers professional society.

The purpose of CMA-SNAME is to strengthen the bond between Cal Maritime and marine engineering and naval architecture professionals in the Bay Area. The Student Section serves as a venue where students explore naval architecture, off-shore platform structures, IMO regulatory policies, and current research & development in: ship structures, ship designs, and marine systems. CMA-SNAME also serves to connect Cal Maritime's campus and Cal Maritime's student body to the representatives of the marine engineering industry.

For more information about our activities and functions, please feel free to explore our website. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me or any other CMA-SNAME officer via the link below or at the “Leadership” page.
