As the demand for skilled ship designers continues to grow, proficiency in advanced 3D ship design software has become a valuable asset in the industry. Understanding this need, we are pleased to offer a dedicated session on ShipConstructor, a widely used software in Ship design.
ShipConstructor is developed by SSI, a Canadian company based in Victoria, British Columbia, SSI is also, a SNAME Corporate Affiliate

In this session, Danielle will take students on a journey through SSI's ShipConstructor, starting with a comprehensive introduction to the software and its key features. From there, she’ll showcase the power of its 3D modeling capabilities with a live demo, bringing detailed ship models to life. Danielle will also highlight resources for students interested in self-paced, free training, empowering them to dive deeper into the tool on their own.
SPEAKER/PRESENTER

Danielle Pinksen
Danielle currently works as Training Coordinator for SSI. She is a passionate advocate for shipbuilding innovation and education. By drawing on over eight years of experience as a marine piping designer and holding a Diploma in Marine Engineering Systems Design, a Bachelor of Technology, and a Master of Technology Management, she uses her expertise to create training initiatives that help shipbuilders make the most of SSI’s software solutions. Outside of her employment role, Danielle is deeply involved in the SNAME Canadian Atlantic Section, co-hosting the Big Jib Draw podcast and serving as the Young Professional representative for Newfoundland and Labrador, connecting with the next generation of maritime talent.
