SNAME Canadian atlantic section tours mv Fundy rose

Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Canadian Atlantic Section (CAS) of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) toured the MV Fundy Rose on Thursday night while it was in port Richmond Terminals in Halifax.  The MV Fundy Rose is a Ro-Ro passenger Ferry operated by Bay Ferries Ltd. The ferry runs between Digby, NS and Saint John, NB year round. During the vessel's planned maintenance period it is currently tied up at Pier 9 in Halifax Harbour.  Despite the snow, the tour proceeded and the group was able to tour the entire ship including the bridge, passengers lounges, and machinery spaces with the Captain and Chief Engineer.  We want to thank Bay Ferries, LTD for the excellent tour!
