SNAME Canadian atlantic Presents to Dalhousie UNiversity Students

Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Canadian Atlantic Section (CAS) of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) presented to the engineering students at the local Dalhousie University campus on the value of SNAME membership on February 25th.  Fellow SNAME member, Dr. Mae Seto, helped coordinate the effort as an Associate Professor at the university.  She also serves as the Irving Chair in Marine Engineering and Autonomous Systems.  We hope that this presentation will encourage the local students to join SNAME as members and encourage participation in a future student chapter here.  SNAME CAS also plans to continue our student outreach by serving as judges for the upcoming Planing Craft Student Design Competition in April.  Stay tuned for more details!
