    Hello Canadian Pacific Section members,

Robert G. Allan, Robert Allan Ltd. and Harbour Publishing are hosting an event to celebrate BC's maritime heritage and the launch of Robert Allan's book, Workboats for the World, and have generously extended an invitation to SNAME members. More information can be found in the attached PDF and event invitation below:

We are pleased to invite you to join with us in a celebration of B.C.'s maritime heritage, as described on the attached invitation. This event was initially planned to be a somewhat belated "book launch" to celebrate the completion in December 2022 of "Workboats for the World: The Robert Allan Story", (The delay occasioned by the author taking an extended vacation from Jan. 6-Mar. 26!), however given the timing it also seemed an opportune time to discuss some of the broader issues facing BC's maritime heritage today.
So please join us on April 5th at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver as described on the invitation. There is no charge for admission, but please note that an RSVP is essential to both facilitate catering and to ensure your admission.
We look forward to an evening of camaraderie and celebration.

    Yours Faithfully,

    Rob Allan
