Ernie Chang

Ernie graduated of the University of California at Los Angeles with a BA in Economics and a MBA with an emphasis in Finance at Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business, He has held the position of the Director of Sales & Finance for C&C Panasia, Inc, a joint venture partner with Panasia out of Busan, South Korea for 9 years focusing on the areas of Ballast Water Management, Measurement & Controls, Low NOx/SOx, Fuel Gas Supply Systems as well as Engineering Services for the Marine Industry.  An Associate Member of SNAME for the past 6 years, Ernie continues to look forward to contributing to not only the society but to the environment.

Nicholas Walker

Nick is a Product Manager and Software Developer at Herbert-ABS Software Solutions in Alameda, CA. He received his B.S in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in 2012 and has been writing software for the marine and offshore industries at Herbert-ABS since his graduation.

Satchel Douglas

Satchel graduated from Webb Institute in 2015 and moved to Oakland, CA to work for Bruce S. Rosenblatt & Associates. In addition to traditional Naval Architecture weight surveys and FEA, he has specialized in marine engineering. Recently Satchel has been designing piping systems for the T-AO 205 new build program. In his (rare) free time, Satchel enjoys offshore racing, skiing and disc golf.

Born in Yazd, a small historic city at the geographic center of Iran, Reza received his BSc in Mechanical Engineering and MSc in Applied Mechanics from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He then joined the Mechanical Engineering program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. He received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2005, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2008, and then served as a Postdoctoral associate (2008-2009) and Lecturer (2009-2011) at MIT. In July 2011 Reza joined the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley, CA, as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
