We are a small part of the international Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. Our territory encompasses Southern California, the State of Arizona, the State of Hawaii, the southern region of the State of Nevada, and the Mexican States of Sonora and Baja California. Our main leadership is located in San Diego Area, with additional memberships in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, Hawaiian Area, and Southwestern Area. The San Diego Area meets at least once a month for a technical presentation or on-site tour on a variety of topics. The L.A. Area is being developed to do the same. Our section regularly coordinates with the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) to share meetings on topics of interest.
