 Apostolos P. Dasios

Apostolos P. Dasios, was born in Athens in 1976 and he graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) as A Naval Architect and Marine Engineer. In 2003 he completed his postgraduate studies in NTUA. He holds a master's degree in Naval Technology.
He started his career in Hellenic Shipyards of Scaramanga, initially at the Department of Quality Control and then for Project Management. During this period, he obtained significant experience in the fields of inspection, supervision, project management, contract management, auditing and quality control.
After a short co-operation with some other companies in relevant fields, he continued his career in New Hellenic Shipyards of Salamina (Spanopoulos Shipyard). His current position is Shipyard Manager and he is actively involved in cost controlling, tender preparation, project management, production supervision. He is also a Safety Engineer and maintains a hands-on attitude on most aspects of shipyard’s activities.

Marinos Pollatos

Marinos Pollatos received his diploma in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin in 1987. Following his graduation, he spent 5 years at Blohm & Voss Hamburg / Hellenic Shipyards, where he was actively involved in the building of MEKO 200HN Frigates of Hellenic Navy as a Member of the Project Management Team and Liaison Officer between the Hellenic Navy and Building Yard. For the next 19 years he was the Technical Manager of Lydia Mar Shipping & Cardiff Marine, dealing with Bulkers, Tankers & Containers, and from 2011 - 2014 he was working in Mesaieed Yard, Qatar, designing and building the 60 meter Motor Yacht Al Adaam on behalf of the Qatari Emir Family. He is currently the Technical Manager and Yard Director of M.M. NAVEP SA, and is a member of MARTECHMA and Germanischer Lloyd's Hellenic Technical Committee. In 1988 he married Ballet Dancer, Examiner & Choreographer Marina Mavrou, and he is the proud father of 3 children, Vanessa, Alexander & Claire.

 George N. Pratikakis
|
George N. Pratikakis, holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering (University of Sunderland) and Naval Architecture, gaining a BSc in Naval Architecture and an MSc in Ship Production Technology from Strathclyde University. He joined his family company “Naval Architecture Progress” in 1998 where he was involved in a number of newbuild and conversion projects, holding various key positions both as Naval Architect/Mechanical Engineer and as Project Coordinator and Manager.
Now stands as the Managing Director and Partner in “NAP ENGINEERING” the sole continuator of the family company.
He is a co-founder of “HeLeNGi Engineering Ltd” company related to Marine Engineering solutions for Liquefied Natural Gas and he stands as a General Manager.
He is a member of the Minister of Shipping Technical Committee, B.O.D Member of EU Council for Maritime Applied R&D, Member of RINA Hellenic Technical Committee, and B.O.D member in Helenic Institute of Marine Technology.

George J. Souravlas
|
George J. Souravlas, 54, is qualified in both Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering (BSc) from the University of Sunderland (UK). His academic background includes studies at the PhD level in Mechanical Engineering (Heat Transfer) and lecturing at the University of Sunderland for 4 years. He is a member of the Greek National Committees of the Japanese Classification Society (Class NK) and the Korean Register. He is also a member of the Greek Technical Committees of Class NK, Det Norske Veritas & Germanischer Lloyd (DNV GL)and the Italian Classification Society (RINA). Furthermore, he was elected twice, both as a member at the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping (HCS),and as Vice President in the Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (HSSA).AXION HELLAS.

George C. Xiradakis

George Xiradakis graduated from the Nautical Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos-Athens and he holds a diploma in Commercial Operations from City of London Polytechnic and an MSc in Maritime Studies from University of Wales. He served as Senior Manager in the French bank Credit Lyonnais before established XRTC Business Consultants Ltd. XRTC is acting as Commercial Representative of international banks and institutions in Greek Shipping Market. Since 2010 XRTC has been an advisor of China Development Bank. George Xiradakis is the President of the Board of Governors of the International Propeller Club of the United States –International Port of Piraeus; General Secretary of the Association of Banking and Shipping Executives of Hellenic Shipping and a BoD member of Paragon Shipping Inc. He is also a Vice President of the Greece- China Association and member of various maritime organizations including The Marine Club of Piraeus, HELMEPA, Mediterranean Committee of China Classification Society and Greece-China Chamber.
