Great Lakes / Great Rivers - Fall Section Meeting

Annual Fall section meeting including several technical presentations on various topics. Due to COVID-19, this section meeting will be held virtually by online webinar conference.

The Great Lakes Great Rivers Fall Section Meeting will aim to provide attendees with a valuable, worthwhile experience via a virtual platform. Though the agenda is still being finalized, the Fall Meeting will include presentations by:

  • Sara Kerfoot on the The Great Storm of 1913 – “The White Hurricane”
  • Chris Bigler, Vice President of Engineering – Fincantieri Marinette Marine 
  • A discussion on the impact of COVID-19 with industry panelists:
    • Paul Christensen, Director of Operations - Interlake Steamship Company
    • Joseph Kelly and Gareth Burton - ABS
    • Paul LaMarre III, Director - Port of Monroe, MI

 

The technical agenda will be followed by a virtual networking event. This casual event will include breakout rooms focused on the preceding presentation topics as well as general social and networking opportunities.

Attendance certificates are available for attendees who would like to submit them for Professional Development Hour (PDH) credit.
