SNAME is pleased to announce that “Origin and Characteristics of the Spray Patterns Generated by Planing Hulls” has been selected as a SNAME Featured Paper. This important work was led by Dr. Daniel Savitsky, the renowned retired professor of naval architecture at the Stevens Institute. SNAME Featured Papers are provided free of charge to SNAME Members as a member benefit. SNAME members have produced much of the important original research affecting maritime industries for over a century. SNAME Featured Papers highlight the outstanding quality of today’s best work, and provide some much-deserved recognition to those authors who are building upon SNAME’s legacy of technical excellence.
