    Introducing the Mari-Tech 2024

    Excellence in Belonging in the

    Marine Industry Award

The National Council of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering seeks nominations for the award of the CIMarE Mari-Tech Excellence in Belonging in the Marine Industry.

The marine industry is undergoing a significant demographic shift as many experienced workers reach retirement age. To maintain a strong and diverse workforce, the marine sector is actively seeking new talent from a variety of backgrounds, including younger individuals, those with varied educations and training, and more diverse racial and gender demographics. Women and other underrepresented groups bring a unique perspective and valuable contributions to teams across organizations, making them key to building stronger, more innovative industries.

CIMarE recognizes the role of diversity and inclusion as being essential to the growth, structure, and continued success of any organization. This award recognizes an CIMarE member company who has shown dedication and commitment to advance equity, inclusivity and diversity of under-represented groups (e.g., women, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, new Canadians, members of visible minorities, etc.) in the aerospace, defence or security sector in Atlantic Canada.

For details about the nomination criteria and selection process, along with the application form, click HERE.

    Nominations must be submitted by

Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at 5pm ADT to:

    Angela Franklin
