A tour, presentation and dinner the USS Olympia.
Jesse Lebovics, Director of Historic Ships at the Independence Seaport Museum, presented on their ongoing surface piercing cofferdam repairs and followed by a tour through the ship, showcasing the restoration efforts and little known facts and historical accounts. The tour included engine rooms and boiler rooms, including the National Engineering Landmark Triple Expansion Engines, the operating ship’s machine shop and a working steam engine demonstration will be showcased.
