"Design, Processes, and the Anatomy of the Modern Shipyard"
John Softley, Seaspan Vancouver Shipyard, Production Engineering Manager will provide a summary of the progress to date of the shipyard development. The presentation will include an overview of the shipyard, the future ships and the design and engineering processes.
John has served the shipbuilding industry for over 43 years, specialising in Production Engineering, Planning and Design for shipyard in the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East, Australia and latterly Canada. While working as a Senior Consultant he has had the opportunity to visit many shipbuilders around the world to implement, and learn from, world class processes and practices.
