Abstract:
Did we really reach a
plateau in Health and Safety? Can we do more to improve the actual results?
Where should we focus our efforts? Going back to the past and referring to
notable catastrophic events, this presentation gives a clear picture of the
“evolution of safety” through the years, from the “Reactive Era” to what can be
called as the “Era of Safety Culture”, a time in which Safety professionals
need to have, other than a technical background, knowledge of social and
psychological elements in order to effectively manage a key element of each
Company Asset: people.
The presentation will
also include a case study, an overview of the Leadership in Health and Safety
Program that embeds all the elements required to build up new leaders in Health
and Safety, people who in turn will be able to drive people’s behaviors, human
behaviors that are shaping the Culture in our Company.
