Do you want to test your knowledge of naval architecture?

Participate in the Deadweight Contest. You will build a boat with recycled materials to carry the maximum deadweight. The winning team will be awarded a trophy and the top three finishers who are ETSIN students, will receive one year of SNAME membership.

Principals constraints:

Length overall ≤ 30 cm
Length to breadth ≥ 3
Midship coefficient ≤ 0,95
Waterplane coefficient ≤ 0,85
Block coefficient ≤ 0,85
Bow angle ≤ 60°
Lightweight ≤ 150g

I ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM

The SNAME-WES UPM organizes its first Symposium, which will take place on 11th May 2021, in the Conference Room of the E.T.S. de Ingenieros Navales. There will be seven talks that will discuss the present and future of the naval sector. You can see the full program in the next link.

We will have the presence of Nina Lilley and Keith Lilley, Chair and Vice-Chair at SNAME WES. The Deadweight Contest prize will be delivered by Fernando Robledo, Dean of the Faculty of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers at UPM.

Registration can be done on the day of the event, or via email until the 4th of May.
