Strathclyde SNAME Section hosted it's annual cardboard boat race on the 15th of September 2016.
The Cardboard Boat Race is a fun event that students were separated into 5 groups and were asked to design a cardboard boat using some simple tools like cardboard, plastic bags, air fins and duct tape. This introductory event for freshers and existing members involves creativity, knowledge, teamwork and fun!!
Each team raced their boats under several circumstances; loaded, unloaded and damaged. And a winning team was announced. However everyone attending had a great deal of fun!
The attendance for the Cardboard boat race had been exceptionally great this year, with more than 25 freshers attended the event.
The committee would like to thanks everyone for their attendance and participating!!
